Food Safety Basics
Temperature control, cross-contamination and allergen handling — including what to actually do when the fridge log has a gap in it.
Useful in: kitchens, cafés, catering, food retail
The Opsflow Initiative · Prelaunch cohort
Practical skills, talked through with an AI coach for a few minutes a day, on the phone already in your pocket. When you can genuinely do the work, you get a dated certificate that keeps proving itself.
What this is
There is nothing to watch, nothing to download and nothing to revise beforehand. The coach opens with a real situation, you answer in your own words, and it works out from that answer what to teach you next.
You never choose from a catalogue of lessons. You press Start, and the coach already knows what today should be about.
Two minutes at the beginning, about the work you have done before. Nobody is made to sit the basics twice to satisfy a progress bar.
Answer out loud on the bus, or type it on a break. The coach follows you in the language you actually think in.
A score implies a precision the evidence does not support, so you are never given one. You are told where you stand and what happens next.
All of them, not one of them
Each one is a small set of concepts, taught and then verified one at a time. Taking a place gets you every skill here — there is nothing to choose and nothing held back for later.
Temperature control, cross-contamination and allergen handling — including what to actually do when the fridge log has a gap in it.
Useful in: kitchens, cafés, catering, food retail
Taking the heat out of a complaint, the apology that actually works, and recognising the moment to hand it to someone else.
Useful in: retail, hospitality, front desk, support
Spotting a hazard before it becomes an incident, reporting one so it gets fixed, and knowing what your employer owes you.
Useful in: warehousing, sites, manufacturing, facilities
What the next shift genuinely needs to know, said in ninety seconds, without writing a novel in the logbook nobody reads.
Useful in: care, security, logistics, any rota
Saying the hard thing early, plainly, and once — so it lands as help rather than as a telling-off, and you do not have to say it again.
Useful in: team leads, supervisors, anyone training a new starter
Facts before opinions, times before excuses. A report somebody can act on six months later without having to phone you.
Useful in: security, care, transport, health and safety
How it works
From an email address on a Tuesday to holding something you can send to somebody.
Step one
An email address, no CV, no entrance test — and the whole catalogue opens at once. Everything the coach will ever ask you about is written down beforehand, and every question traces back to the exact passage it came from.
Step two
Around eight minutes, one topic, in the gap between other things. The coach explains, asks, corrects and moves on — and it remembers where you got to, so tomorrow starts in the right place.
Step three
Not a multiple-choice quiz. You are handed a real situation, and your answer is judged against a written rubric — the same one a human assessor would work from. Get it wrong and nothing is lost: the coach teaches it again.
Step four
When every concept in the skill is verified, a certificate is issued in your name and dated. It has a link anyone can open — a recruiter, a manager, your mum.
The proof
Most certificates record one good day and then say nothing ever again. Yours records the day too — and then keeps checking. Open the link six months later and it tells you honestly whether the skill is still verified, due a refresher, or lapsed.
Knowledge fades. A credential that pretends otherwise is worth about as much as the paper. This one is worth what it says on the day you read it.
Nothing hidden
People enrolled, hours coached, assessments made, skills verified — and, the only one that really tests us, how many of those verified skills are still verified today. Counted straight off the record the platform keeps for itself, recomputed on a clock, and allowed to go down.
No percentages, no names, and nothing published at all until enough people have joined that a count cannot point at one of them.
Straight answers
Yes. No card, no trial that expires, no locked module waiting at the end. The workspace running this programme pays for the coaching you receive.
A phone and roughly eight minutes a day. No laptop, no prior study, no set start time. If you miss a few days the coach picks the thread back up rather than starting you over.
Nobody but you. There are no managers on the Initiative — you are your own audience, and there is no leaderboard comparing you to strangers. Exactly which AI services process your answers, and what they keep, is spelled out in the app before your first session.
It states that a named skill was verified on a date, against a fixed rubric, with an audit trail behind every judgement — and whether it is still verified today. It is not an accredited national qualification and it does not pretend to be one. It is evidence, and evidence that stays honest is rarer than a certificate.
Every coaching conversation costs real money to run. We would rather coach a few hundred people properly than throttle a few thousand into a worse version of the same thing. When the programme is not taking new people this page says so and the form comes down, rather than quietly taking your details.
You get all of them. Taking a place enrols you in every skill the programme publishes, so there is no picking and no waiting for the next one to unlock. The coach decides what today should be about, and it keeps bringing finished skills back for a check-in so they do not quietly lapse.
Not this one — it has no managers, no roles and no team reporting by design. Everything you learn here is yours, and nobody at your employer is shown it. If your workplace wants a programme of its own, that is a conversation to have with whoever runs this one.
Take a place
Tell us where to email you. We send your link straight away — check your inbox and you can be in your first session about ninety seconds later.
No card, no interview, no CV, and nothing to choose. Every skill above comes with the place.
If there is a place for you, your link is on its way; it is the only way in. Not arrived within a few minutes? Check your spam folder, and if it is not there either email us and we will sort it out. In the meantime, the single most useful thing you can do is send this page to somebody at work who would use it — people who already know each other stick with it far longer.
